France - Champagne - "Vivid acidity and a chalky underpinning make a crystalline frame for detailed notes of ripe melon, mandarin orange, toasted brioche and candied ginger, which is expressive and expansive on the palate, but with a sense of finesse and restraint."
Not all sparkling wines can be labeled as Champagne. Only sparkling wines produced in the Champagne region of France, using specific methods and grape varieties, can legally bear the name “Champagne.” This designation is protected by law to ensure the quality and origin of the product. Sparkling wines from other regions, even if made in a similar style, must be labeled differently.
