Champagne, France - It offers aromas of very ripe fruit and honey on the nose. The palate boasts a balance between vinosity and length, with sweetness on the finish. This demi-sec would be an elegant accompaniment to foie gras or blue cheese, or even a desert if it is not too sweet.
Not all sparkling wines can be labeled as Champagne. Only sparkling wines produced in the Champagne region of France, using specific methods and grape varieties, can legally bear the name “Champagne.” This designation is protected by law to ensure the quality and origin of the product. Sparkling wines from other regions, even if made in a similar style, must be labeled differently.
